How To Dispose Of Yard Waste In Narragansett, South Kingstown

With temperatures warming up, many Rhode Islanders are getting ready to clear out their yards and gardens.

NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Spring weather is finally here in Rhode Island, leading many residents to plan their gardens and start cleaning up yard debris from the winter months. Narragansett and South Kingstown don't have collection at the curb, but there are options to get rid of yard waste.

There are two ways to dispose of yard waste at Rode Hill Regional Transfer Station. The first is to purchase yard waste "tags," which cost $1.25 each, for use on brown paper bags. The other option is to bring miscellaneous yard waste to the scale, where it will be charged 3.5 cents per pound, with a $5 minimum.

More information about the transfer station is available online.
