Latest On Storm: 145,648 Without Power, Many Schools Closed
Work could take days to restore power in some communities, such as Bristol,
NARRAGANSETT, RI—Sunday night's big storm knocked out power across the state. By 11:30 Monday morning, National Grid reported 145,648 had lost power. Meanwhile, the winds are continuing.
Schools in East Greenwich, Barrington, Bristol, Warren, Narragansett, South Kingstown, Woonsocket. Providence and East Providence were among the districts to close. There were numerous reports of downed trees and trees across wires. The Coventry police asked citizens to send the street locations to their Facebook page, and people posted pictures of the scene. Localized flooding reports impacted some areas, including North Providence, where Town Hall is closed.
Bristol schools may be closed again Tuesday.

At least one sailboat took off on its own overnight. The marina was unknown, and WJAR-TV reported damage in a Warwick marina, where docks and boats took damage.
There were also multiple accident reports.
