Narragansett Opens Cooling Center To Beat the Heat
Residents are welcome to cool off at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library Monday-Thursday.

On Monday morning, The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) announced that due to predicted high temperatures through the middle of the week, cooling centers should be open to the public where available.
Due to the heat, Narragansett officials have opened a Cooling Center at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library (35 Kingstown Rd.) to give residents some escape from the soaring temperatures. The center will be open until 8:30 p.m. on Monday and from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.
