Narragansett Police Log: April 16 and 17, 2012

According to police, a Charlie O's employee is arrested is assaulting her ex-roomie at the bar.

Narragansett Woman Arrested for Domestic Assault

Amethyst Rose O’Donnell, 23, of 51 Montauk Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 9:57 a.m. on April 16 and charged with domestic simple assault. Police said O’Donnell is a waitress at Charlie O’s.

According to police, at about midnight on April 16 they received a report of a fight at Charlie O’s between two women. According to several witnesses, O’Donnell hit a 22-year-old Narragansett woman in the face in head once she saw her at the bar.

Police said when they arrived, the victim was falling in and out of consciousness. One witness said that it looked like she had hit her head on the wooden counter near the bar during the assault.

A bouncer told police that he removed O’Donnell from the bar, but she left before police arrived to arrest her. According to police, O’Donnell reported to headquarters the following morning to be arrested. Police said she did not provide a statement.

Cranston Man Charged With Violating Protective Order

Michael Joseph Brooks, 50, of 40 Howard Ave., Cranston, was arrested at about 1:41 p.m. on April 17 and charged with violating a protective order.

According to police, the victim provided police with letters written to her from Brooks, who was in the ACI at the time. Police confirmed that a no-contact order between Brooks and the victim was in place, and charged him with violating a no-contact order.

Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant, Suspended License

Peter P. Paolozzi, 30, of 24 Lakeview Drive, Narragansett, was arrested at about 9:16 a.m. on April 17 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police noted there was also a warrant out for his arrest.

According to police, an officer familiar with Paolozzi from past arrests saw him driving on Boston Neck Road and knew a warrant was out for his arrest. A traffic stop was made at CVS.

Police said a background check confirmed that Paolozzi had a warrant related to a South Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. They noted that his license is still suspended, and also charged him with the same offense.

Loud Party Broken Up on Clara Lane

At about 11:30 p.m. on April 16, police received a report of a loud party at 40 Clara Lane.

Police said there were about 100 people at the party. According to police, the renters were cooperative, and the party was quickly ended.

The tenants were identified as 20-year-olds Brian C. Hambel, James R. Zinckgraf and Samuel Hastings, and 21-year-old Patrick Hanley.

Loud Party Broken Up on Tern Road

At about 12:35 a.m. on April 17, police received a report of a loud party at 24 Tern Road.

Police said there were about 70 people at the party. According to police, while clearing the party several neighbors came out to complain, saying that the tenants at 24 Tern Road had had loud parties the past three nights.

The tenants were identified as Derek M. Lepre, 20, and Angelo A. Costa, 21.
