Narragansett Police Log: August 14, 15 and 16, 2012
Police receive a report of an almost naked teenager wandering in a Narragansett yard.

After Accident, Narragansett Man Cited for Suspended License
Richard J. Hill, 36, of 660 Point Judith Road, Apt. #D4, Narragansett, was cited at about 4:54 p.m. on Aug. 14 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, officers were called to the Shell Gas Station on Point Judith Road after receiving a report of a three-car accident. A background check revealed that one of the drivers – Hill – had a suspended license.
As a result, he was cited for the violation, and left his car at the gas station and walked from the scene. Police said his license was suspended in October 2011 for failing to appear at a court hearing. Injuries from the accident were believed to be minor.

South Kingstown Teen Cited for Alcohol Violation
Billie Jo Gray, 18, of 77 Hull St., South Kingstown, was cited at about 3 a.m. on Aug. 14 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.
According to police, an officer traveling behind a blue SUV on Boston Neck Road noted that a taillight was out on the vehicle. A traffic stop was made near Jenckes Court as a result.
Police said that during the traffic stop, a bottle of Grey Goose vodka could be seen in plain sight on the backseat. It was confiscated, and Gray was cited for the violation.
Almost Naked Woman Not At Friend’s House
At about midnight on Aug. 14, police received a request for a well-being check on a 19-year-old North Kingstown woman.
According to police, a homeowner on Gibson Avenue reported an unknown woman ringing her doorbell. Police said that when they arrived, the woman, a 19-year-old from North Kingstown, was sitting in the homeowner’s driveway.
Police noted that the woman smelled strongly of alcohol, and was wearing only a bra and underwear. Police asked if she had been sexually assaulted, but she told them she wasn’t. She told police that she was lost and thought she was at a friend’s house.
According to police, community service officers at the town beach located the girl’s friends. She was transported to police headquarters to wait for them, and her clothing, which the friends had located.
