Narragansett Police Log: August 17 and 18, 2011

Pizza Delivery Man Sexually Harassed

A 22-year-old delivery driver for a pizza store told police that on the night of Aug. 17, a customer sexually harassed him.

The man told police that the previous night, he had delivered a pizza to a home on Caswell Street. The bill came to $20.14, and the man paid with $25 and told the driver to keep the change.

However, the pizza delivery man told police that the customer then added if he was allowed to “suck his ****, he will pay $100” to the delivery man. The pizza delivery man told the customer no thank you and left.

The delivery man wanted the incident documented. Police attempted to make contact with the resident at Caswell Street, but he wasn’t home at the time.

Charlestown Man Cited for Suspended License

Justin M. Raynes, 24, of 31 Timber Ridge Road, Charlestown, was arrested at about 1:35 a.m. on Aug. 17 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer patrolling on Point Judith Road near Mariner’s Square clocked a black Chevrolet driven by Raynes at 45 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made, and a background check revealed that Raynes’ license had been suspended.

Raynes was cited for the license violation, and also for speeding. A 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was allowed to drive it from the scene after providing proof of license. Raynes was issued a Fourth Division District Court summons for Aug. 30.

Pawtucket Woman Arrested on Court Warrant

Jacqueline M. Mottola, 38, of 129 Mineral Spring Ave., Pawtucket, was arrested at about 7:35 a.m. on Aug. 17 for a Fourth Division District Court warrant. According to police, the warrant was for failing to pay court fines related to a past Narragansett police arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Police said an officer patrolling on Point Judith Road near St. Mary’s Church saw Mottola in the passenger’s seat of a car. According to police, the officer was familiar with Mottola because of a previous arrest and knew there was a warrant out for her arrest.

A background check during a traffic stop confirmed the warrant. Mottola was arrested without incident.

Massachusetts Man Arrested on Court Warrant from 1997

John D. Golding, 55, of 21 Post Road, Brookfield, MA, was arrested at about 11:12 a.m. on Aug. 18 for a Fourth Division District Court warrant. According to online court records, the warrant was issued in 1997, but the charge was not specified.

Police said an officer traveling through the parking lot at Aunt Carrie’s saw Golding leaning on a car. A check of the car’s plate revealed that the owner, Golding, had a warrant out for his arrest. A background check confirmed Golding’s identity, and he was arrested without incident.
