Providence Man Arrested for Violating No-Contact Orders
William F. Munroe, 44, of 224 Unit St., Providence, was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 3 on Narragansett police charges of violating a protective order.
According to police, at about 2 p.m. on Aug. 2 they received a report of Munroe arguing with a woman on Knowlesway. A 29-year-old Narragansett woman told police that she had a no-contact order out against Munroe, and the order also covered her two children.

An independent witness at the scene corroborated the woman’s story. When police contacted Munroe via cell phone, he denied talking to the woman, and said he had just spoken to the two children. Police told him that the order covered the children as well.
According to police, Munroe told them he would turn himself into the Providence Police Department within the hour. He did not, but he did turn himself into Narragansett police on the morning of Aug. 3.

Narragansett Man Arrest on Middletown Warrant for Larceny
Matthew S. Moran, 24, of 12 Conanicus Road, Apt. #B, Narragansett, was arrested at about 6:18 a.m. on Aug. 3 on a Middletown police warrant for larceny charges.
According to Narragansett police, a Middletown police dispatcher informed them that they had a warrant out for the arrest of Moran. Police visited his address on Conanicus Road and arrested him without incident.
