South Kingstown Woman Arrested for Suspended License

Alexandra C. Foster, 23, of 290 Church St., Apt. #11, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 8:05 p.m. on Aug. 7 on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer driving east on Bridgetown Road clocked a Lincoln Zephyr driven by Foster at 42 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made on Oxeye Trail, at which point a background check revealed that Foster’s license was suspended.

The child of a 23-year-old Narragansett man was in the car. The man was called to the area, and he was allowed to drive the child and the car from the area. Foster was issued a summons for the speeding, and released from police headquarters after being issued an Aug. 16 date for Fourth Division District Court.

Woman Can’t Find Car for Four Hours

At about 1:48 p.m. on Aug. 6, police received a report from a 56-year-old Lexington, MA woman that she couldn’t find her car.

According to police, the woman said she had been at Block Island for the past three days, and after coming back on a ferry, she could not find her car. She told police that she couldn’t remember which lot she parked in.

An officer initially drove her to several lots, however, he had to leave the area because of a 911 call. Another officer assisted her at 3:27 p.m. after she called 911. After another unsuccessful search, she was transported to Narragansett Police Headquarters.

However, at about 5:33 p.m., another officer found the woman’s car parked behind the Lighthouse Inn. The woman was transported to the car, and she thanked police for their efforts.
