According to witnesses, Burzun kept driving south on Point Judith Road, past the Salt Pond Plaza, and did not make an attempt to stop. The 56-year-old man, who did not suffer any serious injuries, followed her in his car, and boxed her in after she turned down Maplehurst Drive.
At that point, police arrived and conducted interviews. According to police, Burzun swayed from side to side and couldn’t keep her balance when attempting to exit her car.
When police asked her where she was coming from, she told them a funeral. Police noted that Burzun was dressed in pink sweatpants and a purple-striped top. When asked again where she was coming from, police said Burzun said, “I’m sorry, what did you want to know?”
Police said Burzun also smelled of alcohol, so a field sobriety test was conducted. According to police, Burzun failed, and she was arrested. A small dog was also transported from the scene from Burzun’s car by an animal control officer.
According to police, Burzun consented to a breath test at police headquarters. Police said her blood alcohol content was .216 and .217, based on two different testings. The legal limit is 0.08. Burzun was also cited for making an illegal U-turn, operating on the wrong side of the road and swerving in traffic.
According to police reports, Burzun works in the sales department of The New York Post.
South Kingstown Man Arrested For Not Quietly Leaving Crime Scene
Adam R. Harvey, 20, of 290 Church St., Apt. #6, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 1:51 a.m. on July 25 on a charge of disorderly conduct.
According to police, they received a report of several men sitting on the patio of a condo on Ocean Road. The caller, a 51-year-old Narragansett woman, told police that she was frightened, lived alone, and had not given anyone permission to be there.
Police said when they arrived, they saw several people fleeing the scene in different directions. After interviewing the woman, they determined that five people they later found on Ocean Road and Central Street had probably been on the woman’s patio.
However, because of the lateness of night and lack of evidence, no charges could be filed. Police advised all five to leave the area.
At that point, police said Harvey, one of the men questioned, walked away, but did so while loudly shouting obscenities.
Police noted that they could still hear Harvey as he approached Taylor Street, despite being a tenth of a mile away on Ocean Road and traveling past homes and apartments. As they approached him again in an attempt to get him to quiet down, police said he didn’t attempt to lower his volume, despite repeated requests from his friends.
As a result, Harvey was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and released later that day, and he is scheduled to appear in Fourth Division District Court on Aug. 2.
Warwick Man, Not Licensed Since 2007, Arrested
Dustin W. Carruba, 23, of 37 Glendale Ave., Warwick, was arrested at about 1:35 a.m. on July 25 on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
According to police, an officer patrolling Point Judith Road clocked a car driven by Carruba at 62 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. As a result, a traffic stop was made on Route 1 just past the intersection of Point Judith Road and South Pier Road.
Police said the driver, Carruba, said he did not have his license on him. A background check revealed that it had been suspended since 2007. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Carruba was also cited for speeding and failing to carry a license while driving.
The car was registered to the sole passenger in the car, a 24-year-old Warwick woman. However, she told police that she was too intoxicated to drive. The car was towed from the scene as a result, and the passenger was transported to police headquarters to await a ride.

Syntheya G. Isrow, 28, of 40 Shagbark Road, was arrested at 11:10 a.m. on July 25 for a Fourth Division District Court warrant. According to police, the warrant is for failing to appear at a sentencing hearing for a suspended license arrest by South Kingstown police.
Police said two officers patrolling Ocean Road near Clark Road saw a black Honda Civic driven by Isrow pass by them without a front license plate. A traffic stop was made, and a background check revealed the warrant. Isrow was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
