A Narragansett man is arrested for bad checks in Charlestown.

Narragansett Man Arrested for Bad Checks in Charlestown
Douglas H. Smith, 26, of 83 Narragansett Ave., Narragansett, was arrested at about 10:49 a.m. on Oct. 4. According to police, Charlestown Police had a warrant out for Smith’s arrest for fraudulent checks.

According to police, an officer who knew Smith from past arrests saw him smoking outside of a Narragansett business. The officer knew that there was new warrants out for Smith, and arrested him without incident after confirming his identity.
Three Warrants for Suspended License Charges, Three Arrests Without Incident

Police arrested three men on warrants for not appearing at hearings related to suspended license charges. According to police, all three arrests were without incident.
The men arrested were:
- Russell A. Buckley Jr., 20, of 8 Clara Lane, Narragansett
- Daniel J. Dyer, 22, of 35 Walnut St., Narragansett
- Kevin M. Oswald, 22, of 500 Kingstown Road, Richmond
Buckley and Dyer were both picked up at their homes. Oswald was arrested at his work, a Narragansett restaurant.
