Narragansett Police Log: September 16, 2011

Cranston Man, URI Student Cited for Suspended License

Gregory M. Krasnowiecki, 24, of 113 Parkview Boulevard, Cranston, was arrested at about 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police said he is a URI student.

According to police, an officer driving behind Krasnowiecki on Point Judith Road noted that the left rear taillight was not working on his car. A traffic stop was made on Jamestown Boulevard.

Police said a background check revealed that his license had been suspended. He was issued a citation, and also warned for the taillight. A 20-year-old Narragansett woman came to the scene and drove the car away for Krasnowiecki.

Russell A. Buckley Jr., 20, of 8 Clara Lane, Narragansett, was cited at about 1:19 a.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police said he is a URI student.

According to police, an officer patrolling traffic on Boston Neck Road noted a blue Chevy Lumina driven by Buckley with a broken passenger’s side taillight. A traffic stop was made.

Police said a check of Buckley’s license revealed that it was suspended. He was cited for the violation. A 20-year-old West Greenwich man who was a passenger in the car was allowed to drive it from the scene.

Hundred-Plus Person Party on Daytona Avenue Broken Up

At about 11:26 p.m. on Sept. 16, police received a report of a loud party at 37 Daytona Avenue.

According to police, the caller told them that as people were leaving the party, they were urinating in his lawn. Police said that the road was full of about 30 to 40 illegally parked cars, and there was numerous beer cans and plastic cups on the surrounding streets.

Police said about 50 to 75 people were in the backyard of the house, and another 100 to 150 were inside. The renters were told to clear the home of people.

The tenants were identified as 19-year-olds Lauren E. Brierley and Alexandra M. Caluori, and 18-year-old Nicki L. Owen. All three are University of Rhode Island students. The property is managed by Narragansett Property Management.

Loud Party Broken Up on Ocean Road

At about 1:21 a.m. on Sept. 16, police received a report of a loud party at 1316 Ocean Road.

According to police, about 20 people were at the home, and three cars were cited for being illegally parked. Police said when they asked people to leave, only two did – the tenants said the others were too intoxicated to drive home.

The tenants were identified as University of Rhode Island students Gregory R. Bertoncini, 22, Anthony P. Harrison III, 22, Christopher M. Metcalf, 21, Craig Randall, 22, and Mark A. Santilli, 23. The property is managed by Ann O’Brien Realty.

Loud Party Broken Up on Alexander Drive

At about 12:53 a.m. on Sept. 16, police received a report of a loud party at 6 Alexander Drive.

According to police, about 40 to 50 people were at the house. The party was dispersed in about five minutes without incident.

The tenants were identified as Vanes Beaubrun, 20, and Elizabeth Moreira, 21, both University of Rhode Island students. According to online property records, the home is owned by Margaret Thibaudeau.
