Warrant Issued for Frequent No-Contact Order Violator
Narragansett police have issued an arrest warrant for William F. Munroe, 44, of 224 Unit St., Providence, after receiving another a complaint that he violated a no-contact order.
According to police, at about 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 3 they received a report that Munroe had made contact with his children. Police responded to a home on Knowlesway Extension as a result.

Police said that according to Munroe’s children and an independent witness, he had talked to his children and asked if they wanted to come with him.
According to police, they were able to reach Munroe on his cell phone. He said that the woman who has the order out against him was lying, and that he was in Providence at his home. When police told him that they had an independent witness, they said he hung up.

Narragansett police said they contacted Providence police, who told them that Munroe was not home. A statewide bulletin was issued for his arrest.
According to police, there are three protection orders out against Munroe, as well as several warrants.
- A non-expiring Sixth Division District Court no-contact order was issued on June 16, preventing Munroe from contacting his children or their mother.
- A Family Court no-contact order was issued on July 13, preventing Munroe from contacting his children or their mother.
- A Fourth Division District Court no-contact order was issued on Aug. 3, preventing Munroe from contacting his children or their mother.
- A hold without bail warrant is currently out for Munroe as well, as a result of a charge of domestic simple assault from Woonsocket police. This warrant was issued on Aug. 25, after Munroe failed to appear at a court hearing.
Munroe was arrested and arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Sept. 6. He was transferred to the ACI after not being able to post bail.
Narragansett Man Arrested for Failure to Appear Warrant
Anthony L. Pizzo, 28, of 71 Crestwood Drive, Narragansett, was arrested at about 9:37 a.m. on a Fourth Division District Court warrant. According to police, the warrant was for failing to appear at a hearing related to a previous disorderly conduct arrest by Narragansett police.
Police said an officer familiar with Pizzo from previous arrests saw him walking on Boston Neck Road. A background check confirmed the warrant, and an arrest was made without incident. According to police, he was transferred to the ACI.
