Loud Party Complaint Leads to Underage Drinking Citation

Alex C. Ogilvie, 19, of 8 Lantern Lane, Cumberland, was cited at about 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 6 on a charge of unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. Ogilvie is a University of Rhode Island student, according to online records.

According to police, they received a report of a loud party at 125 Foddering Farm Road. Police said about 25 people were there, with five illegally parked cars.

Police noted that the tenant there, 20-year-old Dylan Faucher, was cooperative and quickly cleared the home of people.

However, according to a lieutenant monitoring people as they left, he spotted Ogilvie with an open can of Budweiser in his hand. The officer said that as Ogilvie left, he threw the can on the ground.

As a result, the officer did a background check, revealing that he was only 19. He was cited for underage alcohol consumption.

Loud Party Complaint on Middle Road

At about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, police received a complaint of a loud party at 42 Middle Road. According to police, about 25 people were there, with loud music and voices coming from inside the home.

Police said it took about 10 minutes for the party to be cleared without incident. The tenants were identified as 22-year-olds Matthew D. Buckley, Samuel G. Hearn and Tyler P. Swanson.

According to online records, Hearn and Swanson are URI students. The property is managed by Lila Delman Realty.
