Obituary: Marion L. (Edwards) Cragan, 98, formerly of Cranston and Narragansett passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Steere House.

She was the wife of the late Lester H. Cragan, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John O. and Elsie (Rawlinson) Edwards.

Mrs. Cragan was a former member of St. Thomas More Church in Narragansett where she was a member of the Rosary and Altar Guild. She was a great cook, made quilts, enjoyed ceramics and bowling.

She was the beloved mother of Patricia A. Christy and her husband Richard of Coventry, Lou Ann Weber and her husband Michael of Warwick, Mary Ellen Smith and her husband William of North Attleboro, MA, Lester H. Cragan, Jr. and his wife Anne of Lancaster, SC, Donald E. Cragan and his wife Shirley of North Grafton, MA and the late Robert J. Cragan. Caring mother in law of Jane Cragan. Loving grandmother of Lester Cragan, III, Cheryl Horton, Mark Cragan, Sean Cragan, Donald Cragan, Jr., Susan Bianculli, Richard Christy, Jr., Cynthia Fredette, Valarie Dugas, Robert Cragan, Jr., Gayle Kirk, Kristen Batchelor, Jennifer Falesto, Holly Weber, William C. Smith and Lauren Furtado. Cherished great grandmother and great great grandmother. Caring sister of Isabel Bell, Muriel Briggs and Barbara Sawtelle, all of Vermont and the late Donald C. Edwards. Niece of Winifred Burns and the late Dorothy Watson of Warwick.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling Hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 pm.
