Photos: Fire Department’s Open House
The Narragansett Fire Department's union hosted an open house for families and children on Saturday.
This past Saturday, off-duty members of the Narragansett firefighters, Local 1589, hosted another successful open house.
Numerous local families came to show their support, and as always there were fun activities for the children. They enjoyed seeing Smokey the Fire Dog, trying on the firefighter gear, playing games with the hose and watching little parachute men fall from the ladder truck.
There were also educational demonstrations to help make children more aware and less frightful in an emergency situation.
