Coventry/West Greenwich: I-95 NB at Exit 6 (Rte. 3), exit narrowed for construction, Monday to Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Hopkinton/Richmond: I-95 NB & SB, from Exit 2 (Alton Rd.) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), right lane and shoulder closed for bridge inspection, Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hopkinton: I-95 NB & SB, from Exit 1 (Rte. 3) to Exit 2 (Alton Rd.), alternating lane and shoulder closures for bridge inspection, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lane restrictions are as follows:

* Thursday: I-95 SB

* Friday: I-95 NB

Various locations: I-95 NB & SB and I-295 NB & SB, from the Massachusetts state line to the I-95/I-295 interchange in Warwick, alternating lane closures for construction, Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.

Pawtucket: I-95 between Exits 27 (Downtown) and 28 (School St.) posted for use only by vehicles of less than 18 tons. Detours required for heavier vehicles.

Warwick/West Warwick: I-95 NB & SB at Exit 8 (Rte. 2), lanes shifted to the left. Use caution entering and exiting.

Providence: Rte. 10 NB & SB, from the Westminster St. overpass to the Cranston St. Bridge, left lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Weekday

Bristol/Portsmouth: Rte. 114 on the Mount Hope Bridge, alternating lane closures for resurfacing operations by the R.I. Turnpike & Bridge Authority, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect delays.

Westerly: Rte. 78 EB & WB, from Rte. 1 to the Connecticut state line, alternating lane closures for construction, Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.

Continuing

Bristol/Portsmouth: Rte. 114 on the Mount Hope Bridge, alternating lane closures for bridge construction by the R.I. Turnpike & Bridge Authority, Wednesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cranston/Providence: Rte. 10 at the Union Ave. Bridge, lanes shift to the right for bridge construction.

Newport/Jamestown: Rte. 138 EB & WB on the Pell (Newport) Bridge, lane closures are possible for painting and steel repairs by the R.I. Turnpike & Bridge Authority, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At least one lane in each direction will remain open.

Portsmouth/Tiverton: Sakonnet River Bridge (Rte. 24) posted for use by vehicles under 18 tons. Heavier vehicles must use alternate routes.

Weekday

Providence: Rte. 44 NB (South Main St./North Main St.), from James St. to Smith St., alternating shoulder closures for survey work, Monday-Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.

Providence: Waterman St. EB, from Butler Ave. to Richmond Square, right lane closed for Providence Water Department water main work, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Continuing

Cranston/Providence: Rte. 10 at the Union Ave. Bridge, lanes shift to the right for bridge construction.

East Providence/Providence: Waterman Ave. EB on the Henderson Bridge, left lane closed for bridge work.

Pawtucket: Grace St., between Pine St. and East Ave., potential lane closures for construction, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pawtucket: Pleasant St. and Taft St., from Division St. to Jenks Way at the I-95 overpass, are closed through Fall 2013 for Pawtucket River Bridge construction. Follow signed detours.

Pawtucket: The Garden St. Bridge and the George St. Bridge NB, at the I-95 overpass, bridges closed through Spring 2012 for construction. Follow signed detours.

Providence: Branch Ave., from Rte. 7 (Douglas Ave.) to Langdon St., lane closures possible for Narragansett Bay Commission sewer work, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Restrictions in place until late Summer 2011.

Providence: The Union Avenue Bridge over Rte. 10 has been reopened to traffic.

Providence: Richmond St., from Elm St. to Ship St., is restricted to one-way traffic NB only due to Brown Medical Center construction. Follow signed detour for SB travel. Restriction in place until mid-summer.

Providence: WaterFire takes place on various weekend nights from dusk to midnight during the spring and summer. Visit www.waterfire.org for more information. Expect delays Downtown, especially on Francis St. and Memorial Blvd.

Sakonnet River Bridge Project

Weekly updates of construction activities impacting local streets will be posted on the RIDOT website at www.dot.ri.gov. Local access to homes will be maintained at all times. The following restrictions are scheduled:

Tiverton

* Riverside Dr. may be closed to through traffic for beam placement Monday-Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Detour in place.

* Central Ave. is closed to through traffic. Detour in place.

* Temporary road connecting Quaker Ave. to Main Rd. is open.

* Temporary Tucker Ave. is closed; use new Quaker Ave. Extension or Evans Ave.

* Ramp at Exit 5 from Route 24 North has been narrowed, new ramp alignment in effect. Use caution as construction vehicles are crossing from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* Route 24 North under Main Rd. will be reduced to one lane between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. this week for ledge removal.

* Steel box beam installation will begin on the Tiverton side of the water.

* RIDOT has applied for a permit to close the center channel for approximately 30 days to install tub girders for the new bridge. If approved , the closure date will be announced as soon as possible. Additional information will be available on RIDOT’s website (www.dot.ri.gov) and its social media sites on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Blogger.

Weekday

Tiverton: The Nannaquaket Bridge, located on Nannaquaket Rd. near Main Rd., is closed for repairs through mid-September. Follow signed detour.

Portsmouth/Bristol: Rte. 114 on the Mount Hope Bridge, alternating lane closures for bridge construction by the R.I. Turnpike & Bridge Authority, Wednesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Glocester: The Chestnut Hill Road Bridge is closed through late Summer 2011 for rehabilitation. Follow signed detour using Rte. 44 (Putnam Pike) and Pine Orchard Rd.

South County

Weekday

Westerly: Rte. 78 EB & WB, from Rte. 1 to the Connecticut state line, alternating lane closures for construction, Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.

Hopkinton/Richmond: The First Barberville Bridge, located on Arcadia Road near Bitgood Road, is closed for flood damage repairs. Follow signed detour using Skunk Hill Road, Rte. 3 (Nooseneck Hill Road) and Rte. 165 (Ten Rod Road).

West Bay

Weekday

Coventry: Rte. 3 (Tiogue Ave.), between Hopkins Hill Rd. and South Main St., alternating shoulder closures for construction, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cranston: Rte. 2 NB & SB, at the Rte. 5 interchange, alternating shoulder closures for bridge inspections, Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Coventry: Laurel Ave., from Rte. 3 (Washington St.) to Pilgrim Ave., road closed due to flood damage.

West Warwick: Access to Manchester St. from the corner of Rte. 3 (Main St. and Cowesett Ave.) is closed. Follow local detour.
