RUNNING: Crawford, Zablocki Tops at Gansett; Boston Finishers
A roundup of the recent race results from the Narragansett Marathon on Saturday, and the local finishers in the Boston Marathon on Monday.
Chris Zablocki of Essex, CT and Stephanie Crawford of Dover, NH were the top finishers in Saturday’s Narragansett Marathon, a qualifier-only event in its second year in Narragansett, and third year overall.
Zablocki finished in 2:32:52, about nine seconds ahead of Ryan Field of New York, NY. The top local finisher was Aaron Rome of Wakefield, in 18th place at 3:03:29.
Crawford edged out Caitlin Sawyer of Dedham, MA by about three seconds. Wakefield’s Michelle San Antonio was the top local finisher, at 3:41:27 and in 25th place.

Level Renner, a new running magazine, has interviews on its website with Crawford and Sawyer, men’s third place finisher and Cranston resident David Principe, and Race Director Michael Tammaro.

Boston Marathon Finishers
Narragansett’s David Tetreault and South Kingstown’s Claire Gadrow were the top local finishers at Monday’s Boston Marathon, with times of 3:26:50 and 3:38:14, respectively.
