SK Police Log: October 7, 2012

Police charge two with theft crimes, larceny and shoplifting.

South Kingstown Woman Charged With Larceny

Erica A. Gordon, 29, of 55 Meadowbrook Way, Apt. #5, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 7 and charged with larceny of less than $1,500.

According to police, they received a report of a larceny at Casey’s Bar and Grill on Sept. 30. From reviewing surveillance footage, they recognized Gordon as the person taking a black leather wallet with a money clip.

Police said that Gordon turned herself in to police on Oct. 7. She was processed without incident and then released at about 4:48 p.m.

Providence Teen Charged With Shoplifting

Joseph A. Nasrabadi, 18, of 130 Filmore St., Apt. #A, Providence, was arrested at about 8:43 p.m. on Oct. 7 and charged with shoplifting. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was also out for Nasrabadi’s arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing related to a West Warwick police charge of possession of marijuana.

According to police, they received a report of a shoplifter at the CVS on Fortin Road. Police said when they arrived, a store employee had Nasrabadi in a store supply room.

Police said that Nasrabadi told them that he had stolen a bottle of Delsym Cough Suppressant, valued at $17.79, to get high with a friend. He was arrested without incident and transported to the ACI at about 10:53 p.m.
