RI Storm Watch: Latest From National Weather Service
It looks as Rhode Island is stuck in a snow band through the middle of next week. But the totals could be around an inch at the southcoast.

NEWPORT, RI — The snow lovers can gloat for much of the upcoming week. It looks as if Rhode Island is stuck in a snow band that will last until Thursday but with breaks on Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday. Accumulations are still uncertain. But it appears likely everyone will get at least a little dusting, with the lowest amounts falling on the south coast and heavier totals in Providence and the rest of the state. The likeliest scenario, as of Friday morning, calls for six inches for most of the state (counting snowfall Saturday and Saturday night) but only two inches for Newport and Narragansett, with three inches going toward Charlestown.
North Kingstown and Portsmouth could see three to five inches by Saturday night. And it looks like six inches for Coventry East Greenwich, and the rest of Rhode Island.
Here are the details for Newport and Narragansett from the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass.
