Soccer Registration This Weekend At Christafaro Park

Registrations are being held 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. this weekend at the Cristafaro Park Field Club House for several Narragansett fall soccer programs.

You can also register online for all programs at www.narragansettsoccer.com. The following sessions are available, with all programs held at :

1. Excel Soccer Camp

Dates: Aug. 8 to Aug. 12

Ages: 7 to 12

Time:  8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fee: $150 

The Excel Soccer Camp promises a week of fun, competition, and learning! The director is Kathryn Mahoney, the head coach of the girls at Narragansett High School and a former member and co-captain of the Providence College women’s soccer team.  Each camper will receive a t-shirt.  Please bring water, lunch, cleats, shin guards, sunscreen, and a hat!

2. Conditioning Sessions

Days: Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (TBD)

Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fee: $80 for all or $15 per Session

These eight sessions will incorporate different drills used at the college and high school level that help to increase a player’s fitness level.  Drills will focus on speed, agility and acceleration.  Session will include dynamic stretching warm-up and cool down. These sessions will be held throughout the summer.   

3. Middle School Preseason Clinic

Ages: Incoming 6th-8th graders

Dates: Aug. 15 to Aug. 18

Time: 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Fee: $85

These preseason soccer sessions are geared for middle school athletes who are preparing for their upcoming fall seasons.  Each practice will consist of drills used at the high school and premier level to improve upon both the technical and tactical aspects of the game.  These clinics will also incorporate drills to improve upon fitness and speed. 

4. Preschool Soccer Clinic

Ages: 4 to 6

Dates: Mid-July

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30am

Fee: $50

These one-hour clinic-like sessions are specifically for our youngest players to have fun and develop soccer skills and an understanding of the sport. They will be for six weeks on Saturday mornings from mid July through early August.
