Two Narragansett Men Charged In Separate Incidents

State police arrested two Narragansett men at traffic stops on Nov. 22.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — State police arrested two Narragansett men in separate incidents at traffic stops on Nov. 22. On Interstate 95 in Warwick at 8:40 p.m., troopers responded to a call about an erratic driver. David Castelli, 26, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, was charged with Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, first offense; Resisting arrest; Disorderly conduct; Simple assault; Obstruction; Refusal to submit to a chemical test, second offense; Possession of a controlled substance Schedule I-V (Kratom); and 8.) Driving while in possession of a controlled substance (Kratom). Castelli was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and held overnight pending arraignment/presentment as a probation violator.

Earlier, at 12:30 p.m., Mathew Nee, 36, of Narragansett, turned himself in at the Wickford Barracks. He was charged with Operating on a Suspended License, first offense; Duty to Stop when Damage to Attended Motor vehicle; and a Fourth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Charges of Town Offences Originating out of the South Kingstown Police Department.
