Whitehouse’s Staff Hosting Outreach Session at Library Today

The senator's staff will be available to talk with constituents for about three hours at Maury Loontjens Memorial Library.

The staff of U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) will hold a community outreach day in Narragansett on Thursday, July 14, to help local residents navigate the red tape of government agencies.

  • EVENT:         Whitehouse Staff Holds Community Outreach Day for Narragansett Residents
  • WHEN:          Thursday, July 14, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • WHERE:        , 35 Kingstown Road, Narragansett

Senator Whitehouse is committed to ensuring that federal government agencies respond to Rhode Islanders' needs by answering questions, finding resources, or resolving problems residents face.

While Whitehouse’s staff can't ask an agency to circumvent its rules, force it to decide a question in favor of a constituent or change a decision that is already final, caseworkers can make inquiries about the status of a person’s situation or request and review steps taken thus far to ensure that individuals’ cases are being handled properly.

More information on casework services is available on Whitehouse’s web site at whitehouse.senate.gov under “Services for Rhode Islanders” and “Casework.”
