Former Pell Lots Sold On Ledge Road
The three lots represent a 'significant sale,' according to the realtor.

NEWPORT, RI – Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty says three lots on Ledge Road, have been sold for $8,200,000. Known as the former Pell lots, the property has been at the center of a controversy played out at the Historic District Commission and the local zoning board over construction of new houses, which the Waves condo association, opposed.
According to data from the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service, he realtor said, "this is the highest recorded land sale in the municipality in over a decade." The sellers of this waterfront land were represented by Eric Kirton, Sales Associate with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. The buyers were represented by Chris West of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty.
The Pell estate sold them for $7.9 million in 2014.
