Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds To End The Week In Rhode Island
Expect several hours of heavy rain and gusty winds earlier in the day.

NEPWORT, RI — Rhode Island is heading into the weekend with a roar. Heavy rain and strong wind gusts are in the forecast for Friday, ahead of a mostly sunny weekend.
The National Weather Service said to expect two to four hours of heavy rain and strong wind gusts in the late morning and early afternoon. The downpours could cause some localized street flooding and poor drainage, especially where fallen leaves are blocking storm drains.
Wind gusts are expected to range from 35 to 50 mph statewide, meaning there could be some fallen branches or isolated power outages.
