Helping our Veterans: "Operation Standown Rhode Island" Opens New Office in Newport
Helping those who served our country!

Veterans in need across Rhode Island have another resource to help them. “Operation Standown Rhode Island” held the grand opening of its new office in Newport on Wednesday October 29.
The 23-year old non-profit was founded in 1993, by Tony DeQuattro, a Vietnam Veteran. The organization helps homeless and at-risk Veterans with medical needs, job searches, housing and rental assistance, and a host of other services to get them back on their feet.

“We provide a hand up; not a hand out,” said OSDRI Founder Tony DeQuattro. “We need to help those brave men and women who protected this country, and now find themselves in need,” DeQuattro added.
The Newport office is located at 164 Broadway, (401) 383-4730, and is there to help all Veterans on Aquidneck Island and surrounding communities, including Southeastern Massachusetts. Operation Standown also has offices in Johnston and West Warwick. It assists thousand of Veterans each and every year.
