Newport Police Holding Family Ice Skate Night Feb. 9

A limited number of tickets are still available for the event, which will also feature hot cocoa and music.

NEWPORT, RI — The Newport Police Department is hosting a family skating night at Gurney's Newport next week. Only a limited number of tickets are still available.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 9, with a rain date of the following day. Free skating will be available for kids 17 and under, as well as hot cocoa and music.

To register, call Newport police officer Brittany Ripke at 401-845-5864. If there is no answer, leave a message and your call will be returned.
