The Newport Police Department proudly honored 25 officers and five civilians Monday night. Awards included Meritorious Service Awards, Chief's Awards, Medal of Valor, Medal of Honor, and Officer of the Year Award. This ceremony began from the police station to Thompson Middle School, coming to attention at Thompson Middle School and then marching into the ceremony.
