Newport Police: Woman Allegedly Stole Toys From Walmart

The following arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

 

The following arrests were made by the Newport Police Department on Wednesday, May 1

  • Yolanda Mcardle, 40, of 5 Gould Street was arrested around 1:43 p.m. on a shoplifting charge.   She allegedly tried to steal a kitchen towel set and various toys from Walmart. 

  • Henry Kerstgens, 20, of 130 Johnston Drive, Holliston, Mass., was arrested around 8:30 p.m. on vandalism and disorderly conduct. Kerstgens allegedly was screaming and swearing at people walking by the Marriott Hotel.

  • A 16-year-old Middletown man was arrested around 1:18 p.m. on a warrant charge out of the family court.  DCYF called police with an address where he was staying in Newport.
