newportFILM Screening of "Gleason" Moved to June 13 at Jane Pickens Theater

The raw, honest film started as a video journal for former NFL defensive back Steve Gleason's unborn child when he was diagnosed with ALS.

NEWPORT, RI—The screening of Gleason by newportFILM originally scheduled for tonight (June 7) has been changed to Monday, June 13.

That's good news if you were thinking of attending the free screening of the film and never got around to sending an RSVP.

The film, which documents former New Orleans Saints defensive back Steve Gleason life following his ALS diagnosis right when his wife got pregnant with their first child. began as a video journal to Gleason's unborn son and evolved into the bigger story of a man trying to get his life's affairs in order while facing a devastating illness.

Gleason was given two- to three-years to live when he was diagnosed at 34.
