Newport's 'Wyndham Estate' Auction Continued To Monday

The Feroce property was on the block Friday at an online auction with no reserve. The high bid is $3 million, but the auction was continued.

NEWPORT, RI—Newport's 'Wyndham Estate' was on the block at an on-line auction Friday, but the auction has been continued to Monday. The property belongs to Giovanni 'John' Feroce, now chief executive officer at Benrus. (He previously was connected to Alex and Ani.) It is heavily encumbered with liens said to total several million.

In addition to the main house, a separate auction for the adjoining lot was also held Friday, according to source close to the Patch. The lot fetched a high bid of $1,100,000. That auction is now closed, and the sale is pending.

But the house auction has been continued to Monday, Aug. 28. The high bid so far is $3,000,000. Offers will be accepted until 4 p.m., and then the auction resumes at 5 p.m.
