One Killed, Another Injured In Newport Stabbing
One person was stabbed and later died during a fight between two men on Dudley Avenue.

NEWPORT, RI — One person was killed and another injured in a stabbing on Dudley Avenue in Newport Monday afternoon. The stabbing came after a fight between two men, Newport police said.
Police were called 3:45 p.m. The caller said there was a fight, and that both men involved were bleeding.
Newport resident Davide Semenza was rushed to Newport Hospital with multiple stab wounds, police said. The 43-year-old was pronounced dead at 4:39 p.m.

The other man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. His identity was not released. He was not stabbing during the fight, police said, but was injured.
Police did not give any other information about the stabbing, since the investigation is still ongoing. The incident was isolated, police said, and there is no danger to nearby Newport residents.
