Newport Superintendent Ambrogi's Retirement Reception

Would you like to wish Superintendent John Ambrogi good luck in his retirement?

A retirement party, which is open to all residents, is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.

Ambrogi announced his retirement, effective Jan. 4, 2014, at a school committee meeting last January. 

“It’s been 41 years, three states, one college and eight school districts,” Ambrogi said at that meeting. “I believe now as I believed when I started, the most important thing a person can do is to contribute to the education of children.”

Newport native Colleen Jermain will be replace Newport Superintendent John Ambrogi in his role.

When: Friday, November 22, 2013 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm 
Where: Atlantic Beach Club, 55 Purgatory Road, Middletown
What: Hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and roasting music and dancing provided By Alan Bernstein Quartet
How Much: $30.00 per person
