Rogers High School Graduate, World War II Veteran Dies at Age 84

Richard D. Boiani, 84, of Newport, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Lorraine Anne (Lamarre) Boiani.

Boiani was a 1946 graduate of Rogers High School. After school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving two different times once in Italy, during World War II and then re-enlisted during the Korean War.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 25, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport.

His funeral will be held on Friday, April 26, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.
