Thompson Students Dunk Staff for Funds

Students bought tickets and stood in a long line for the opportunity to dunk one of four school's staff members

Cheers, smiles, and splashes filled the back courtyard of Thompson Middle School last Friday when Band Director Ian Gollub orchestrated an unusual fundraising effort.

Students bought tickets and stood in a long line for the opportunity to dunk one of four school's staff members: Principal Jaime Crowley, Assistant Principal Bob Campion, Dean of Students Jared Conheeny, or Mr. Gollub. Mr. Campion sported a home-made “Dunk=Detention” t-shirt, while Principal Crowley plunged wearing dress slacks and a collared shirt.

All four participants were successfully dunked. Funds will contribute to an end-of-the-year music department field trip.
