2 'Cute' Ferrets Abandoned In North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Two "cute" ferrets were found abandoned in front of the gate at the North Kingstown Animal Shelter Wednesday, the shelter said in a Facebook post.
One of the ferrets is white with pink eyes and the other is brown and gray with blue-black eyes.
It is illegal to abandon pets "without providing for the care of that animal," according to Rhode Island law.
