House Fire In North Kingstown Sends Woman To The Hospital
Fire officials said one woman, who was wheelchair bound, was rescued. She suffered minor burns and was also treated for smoke inhalation.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A house fire Tuesday afternoon injured one woman and left a family displaced, according to North Kingstown fire officials.
Firefighters arrived to the Fletcher Road home around 3:30 p.m. and found a house and two-car garage fully engulfed in flames.
Fire officials said one woman, who was wheelchair bound, was rescued. She suffered minor burns and was also treated for smoke inhalation at South County Hospital in Warwick, according to fire officials. No other injuries were reported.

Fire officials said the garage was determined to be a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
