Lafayette Band Announces Full 2023 Summer Concert Schedule
Eight free performances are planned, including the Independence Day show with fireworks on July 3
If you enjoy listening to live music on warm summer nights, then the Lafayette Band of North Kingstown has just what you need.
The band has scheduled its 2023 Summer Concert Series to include eight free performances, beginning Wednesday, June 14, at the North Kingstown Free Library. The series will also feature five concerts at the N.K. Town Beach, including the band's traditional Independence Day show with fireworks -- scheduled for July 3 -- and collaborations with the North Kingstown Community Chorus and Rhode Island Wind Ensemble. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating at all venues.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
