Lafayette Band Concert, Fireworks: Postponed to July 5
The annual free Independence Day concert will begin at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m., at the North Kingstown Town Beach

UPDATE: Due to rain in the forecast, event has been postponed until Wednesday, July 5.
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will present its free annual Independence Day concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 3, at the North Kingstown Town Beach, 15 Beach St., Wickford. The concert of patriotic and popular music will be followed at 9 p.m. by the town's traditional fireworks display.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concert and fireworks would be postponed to Wednesday, July 5.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
