Lafayette Band Free Concert with N.K. Community Chorus, July 19
The two groups will combine their talents to perform at the bandshell overlooking the Town Beach.
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will be joined by the North Kingstown Community Chorus to present a free concert on Wednesday, July 19, at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. The rain date for the chorus performance is July 26. The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
