This December, for the first time, the Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will celebrate the season by performing its traditional Holiday Concert not just once, but twice.

First up, for the 18th time as a featured event in the annual Wickford Festival of Lights, the band will play at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, December 5, in the First Baptist Church, 44 Main St., Wickford. On Thursday, December 11, also at 7:15 p.m., St. Francis de Sales Church at 381 School St., North Kingstown will be the site of the new second show.

At both performances, Music Director Chuck Johnson will conduct a festive playlist of classic and popular seasonal music -- timeless tunes, lively medleys, and contemporary holiday hits enjoyed by people of all ages. The program will also feature a sing-along of familiar Christmas carols and seasonal songs, led by vocalist Richard Johnson.
