Lafayette Band Summer Finale Set for August 6 at NK Library
Indoor concert is free and will begin at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine.
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will conclude its summer concert series on Wednesday, August 6, at the North Kingstown Free Library, 100 Boone St., Wickford. The free concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more, led by Music Director Charles Johnson.
The concert will take place inside the library, rain or shine. Seating will be provided. Any schedule updates will be posted on the Lafayette Band website, www.lafayettebandri.org, and Facebook page, www.facebook.com/LafayetteBand.RI.
The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
