Lafayette Band Summer Series Rolls On, July 24 at Town Beach

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will perform another free concert on Wednesday, July 24, at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more, led by Music Director Charles Johnson.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside the adjacent Community Center, if possible. The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
