Lafayette Band to Wrap Up Summer Concert Season on August 3

The season finale at the band shell is sponsored by the Center for Mediation Rhode Island.

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will conclude its free summer concert series on Wed., August 3, at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more.

This concert is sponsored by the Center for Mediation, located in Warwick and at CMCRI.org. Founded in 1996, the center provides an environment where organizations and people can engage in constructive dialogue, effectively manage conflicts, and settle disputes.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
