Lafayette Band Wraps Up Summer Concert Season August 2
The season finale is sponsored by the Center for Mediation Rhode Island. Admission is free.

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will conclude its 2023 summer concert series on Wednesday, August 2, at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford.
The season finale is sponsored by the nonprofit Center for Mediation Rhode Island, which provides skills and processes for individuals, organizations, and businesses to resolve their differences. During the concert, the Center will hold drawings for several gift baskets as a fundraiser.
The Lafayette Band performance will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more, conducted by Music Director Charles Johnson. Admission is free.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In the event of inclement weather, the concert may be moved inside the adjacent N.K. Community Center. The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
