NK Man Dies in I-95 Crash after Road Rage Incident
Police said the 58-year-old North Kingstown man lost control possibly from the actions of the driver of an SUV with New York plates.

A 58-year-old North Kingstown man has died after a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Warwick Sunday night that was preceded by alleged road rage and racing, according to the state police.
Capt. Dennis Fleming of the Rhode Island State Police said in a release that Steven A. Peligian was ejected from his 1996 GMC Yukon when he lost control just south of Route 117 near Exit 10 at around 7:13 p.m.
Peligian was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police said that several witnesses at the scene told police that Peligian’s Yukon was racing or involved in a road rage incident with a red or blue SUV with unknown New York license plates.
“The witnesses indicated that the other vehicle involved may have been a Ford Explorer,” Fleming said. “The two vehicles did not make contact, but the actions of the unknown vehicle may have caused the black GMC Yukon to lose control and rollover.”

Peligian was not wearing a seat belt. A passenger in the front was wearing a seatbelt, police said, and was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
