No School in North Kingstown on Friday
Snow is in the forecast and Friday morning's commute could be nasty.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—With the threat of several inches of snow coinciding with the morning commute on Friday, officials in North Kingstown aren’t taking any chances.
School has been cancelled for Friday and a parking ban went into effect at 8 p.m. Thursday night and will last until noon Friday.
North Kingstown is under a Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

The forecast calls for 2- to 5-inches or more depending on the final track of the storm.
The forecast has changed a bit over the past 24 hours, with snowfall projections shifting more north and west by the hour.

North Kingstown is in an area that could be spared the worst or end up in the center of it all depending on the storm track. A slight drift west or east could paint a dramatically different picture Friday morning.
The weather advisory ends at 3 p.m. Friday, which is when the storm should have tapered off.
The worst of the snow will occur during the transition from rain to snow on Friday morning.
Snow will be heavy at times during the morning commute and the snow is expected to be wet and heavy, which could cause downed limbs and power lines.
