NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — North Kingstown residents can pick up free, at-home COVID-19 test kits at the fire department on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

The town will give out the test kits from noon to 5 p.m., while supplies last at stations 3 and 5. Those fire stations are located at 6445 Post Road and 171 Indian Corner Road. Proof of residency will be required, and one kit will be allowed per person.

The tests are a portion of the 500,000 additional kits that arrived in Rhode Island in late January. The state allocated 70 percent to cities and towns, which were given out based on population. The remainder were given to community organizations and health equity zones.
