North Kingstown Police Investigating Reports Of 'Explosions'

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — North Kingstown police said Tuesday they were investigating several reports of "explosions" around town.

Police said the calls came in from Stony Lane and Old Baptist Road area of town. Officers surveilled the area but found no evidence of explosion-like activity as of Tuesday afternoon.

"We are working with our state partners and have been advised that similar instances have been reported in the neighboring communities of East Greenwich and Warwick," Police Chief Patrick Flanagan said. "The North Kingstown Police Department is continuing to monitor this situation. Updates for the public will be provided according to facts uncovered in the ongoing investigation."
