Planet Fitness Opens New Gym In North Kingstown
A Planet Fitness spokesperson said the new gym is 50 percent larger than the previous North Kingstown location.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — North Kingstown has a new place for people to work out.
Planet Fitness opened a gym at 56 Frenchtown Road. A company spokesperson said the North Kingstown club was previously in a different location within the retail center, but the new location is 50 percent bigger and has some new equipment.
"After nearly three years that reinforced how important both physical and mental wellness is for all of us, there is no better time for the opening of a new and improved fitness center at a refreshed location at Hunt River Commons in North Kingstown," North Kingstown franchise owner Brian Kablik said. "Everyone feels accepted and respected in our workout community, and our state-of-the-art and exceptionally clean fitness center is a fantastic addition to North Kingstown. This New Year, we encourage everyone – both seasoned members and first-time gymgoers – to come visit us."

The Wakefield location has more than 18,000 square feet of space. Features include:

The new North Kingstown gym is open and staffed from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
