Saunderstown church to host Lafayette Band performance
On July 9, St. John the Divine will present the band in a free concert followed by an ice cream social
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will perform a free outdoor concert on Wed., July 9, at 7 p.m. at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Church Way, Saunderstown. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more. A complimentary ice cream social will follow the performance.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
